Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a full-time Radiation Oncology physicist to join our team in Peoria, Illinois. The role provides comprehensive medical physics support across external beam, brachytherapy, SRS and SBRT, with a focus on safety, QA, and treatment accuracy.

Ideal candidates hold a Master’s or PhD in Physics, ABR certification, and an IEMA license. Relocation assistance and sign-on bonus are available; partial remote work may be considered for nearby candidates.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Physics or PhD in Physics required.
• ABR certification (Certified Specialist in Therapeutic Radiologic Physics) required.
• Licensed Radiologic Technologist – Radiation Therapy (IEMA) required.
• Clinical medical physics experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical physics support for external beam, brachytherapy, SRS and SBRT.
• Oversee QA, calibration, and acceptance testing of equipment.
• Develop and maintain physics policies and QA programs.
• Serve as Radiation Safety Officer for the department.
