Job summary

Apex Technology, Inc. is seeking a Radiation Effects Engineer to lead radiation hardness assurance across spacecraft buses and components.

You will coordinate with design teams to evolve, test, and maintain a radiation parts library and ensure shielding and electronics meet harsh space environments from LEO to GEO. The role requires deep expertise in radiation testing/analysis, and hands‑on experience with SEE, TID, DDD campaigns, and data modeling.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Nuclear Engineering, or related field.
• 2-5 years of experience in radiation effects and/or reliability engineering for aerospace systems.
• Expertise with radiation tools for environmental definition and requirements definition.
• Experience budgeting, scheduling and executing SEE, TID and DDD campaigns.

Responsibilities

• Establish and own the radiation qualification campaigns for critical new generation electronics
• Operate radiation test equipment, including total dose sources and pulsed laser equipment
• Provide radiation tolerant recommendations to product designers for mission success
• Support proposals, requirements development, customer briefings, and design reviews with radiation assessments
• Own budgets, schedules, plans, and execution of radiation test campaigns at external facilities or with partners
• Provide unit and mission level radiation analyses and artifact generation for requirements verification
• Maintain and grow the parts and materials library databases accessible to designers
