Job summary

RTX in El Segundo, CA is seeking a qualified engineer to help write requirements for test equipment and design avionics simulation hardware. You will participate in the integration and testing of Special Test Equipment with radar systems and support qualification activities.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, RF engineering experience, and CAD proficiency with Creo or OrCAD. Travel up to 25% domestically and internationally; on-site work in a defense-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM field obtained by start date.
• Experience in RF engineering.
• Experience using CAD software such as Creo or OrCAD.

Responsibilities

• Write requirements for test equipment.
• Design custom test equipment and avionics simulation equipment.
• Checkout panels and cables.
• Integration, test and sell-off of Special Test Equipment with Radar Hardware.
• Assist with qualification and development testing of Radar Systems.
• Travel is required 5–25% of the time, domestically and internationally.
