Job summary

Raytheon is seeking a radar test equipment engineer to design, integrate, and validate specialized equipment for radar development and production. You will write requirements and drawings for STE using CAD tools, and collaborate with hardware teams to ensure proper integration and testing.

The role requires RF engineering experience, CAD proficiency (Creo/OrCAD), and a Bachelor’s in Electrical/Aerospace STEM. Travel of 5–25% domestically and internationally is expected.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related STEM obtained by summer 2027.
  • Experience in RF engineering.
  • Experience using CAD software such as Creo or OrCAD.

Role Overview

Join the Radar System Special Test Equipment group within the Raytheon Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities center where you will be expected to create requirements, design, integrate and sell-off test equipment used for development and production of the Raytheon Radar systems.

What You Will Do
  • Write Requirements for Test Equipment Design and create Drawings for Test Equipment using Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools
  • Checkout Panels and Cables Integration, test and sell-off of Special Test Equipment (STE) with Radar Hardware Assis
  • with the Qualification and development testing of the Radar Systems
  • Travel is required 5-25% of the time, both domestically and International
What You Will Learn
  • The Systems Engineering life cycle, including conceptual design, requirement definition, system design, sub system verification, integration, acceptance and deployment of complex Radar systems.
Qualifications You Must Have
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) obtained by summer 2027.
  • Experience in Radio Frequency (RF) Engineering
  • Experience using computer aided design (CAD) software such as Creo, OrCAD or equivalent.
Qualifications We Prefer
  • Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
  • Programming experience in Python and MATLAB
  • Experience in digital signal processing, real-time embedded software and Field Programmable Gate Array development
  • Prior internship, co-op, or work experience

Relocation Eligibility

Salary Range
  • The salary range for this role is 62,900 USD - 119,700 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
  • RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
  • This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
