Job summary

RTX is seeking a Systems Engineer for its Marlborough, MA facility to support naval radar programs. You will develop test plans, integrate hardware and software, analyze data to resolve issues, and collaborate across disciplines to ensure system functionality. The role requires US citizenship and the ability to obtain a security clearance.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) required.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in systems engineering, tests, or integration.

The Systems Engineering & Test Capabilities team discipline is seeking a Systems Engineer to support important Naval Radar programs. Every day presents a different set of challenges to overcome. Whether in hardware, software, networking, or some combination of all three, you'll be stretched to learn about how our systems work and identify the sources of new and unexpected issues through lots of troubleshooting and testing. You'll be expected to collaborate across disciplines and collaborate to implement solutions.

What You Will Do
  • Develop and implement test plans, procedures, integration, and verification documentation in both simulated and real-world environments.
  • Identify and resolve hardware, software, and system issues through detailed data analysis and debugging.
  • Integrate hardware and software into tactical systems, evaluating their functionality and impact.
  • Collaborate across functions to drive performance improvements and resolve system issues.
  • Work with a multi-disciplinary team to achieve seamless integration and system functionality.
  • Develop integration documentation, execute plans, analyze data, verify requirements and effectively communicate results to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Travel as needed (up to 10%) to support mission execution at various locations including local RTX facilities, test sites, vendor facilities, and customer locations.
Qualifications

You Must Have Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of two (2) years of prior relevant experience.

  • Experience in one or more of the following: systems hardware, systems integration, and/or systems test.
  • Experience working in an integration lab, test facility, or in the field, supporting integration and/or verification.
  • Experience with RADAR or Radio Frequency (RF) systems.
  • Experience with military systems.
  • Experience with DOORS, Rhapsody, Cameo, or other digital engineering tools.
  • Experience with MATLAB, Python, C/C++, and/or other programming languages.

U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance prior to start date.

This role is onsite at our RTX facility in Marlborough, MA.

This role is a U.S.-based role.

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD.

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
