Job summary

Pratt & Whitney in the United States is seeking an engineering professional to support integration and test planning/execution for radar system software builds, including verification, validation, and regression testing in a String/HWIL facility.

You will collaborate with cross‑program leads, prepare test approaches, ensure test‑setup readiness, and participate in gate reviews while complying with DoD release policies. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in STEM and minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with MATLAB, Python, Perl, C/C++, Linux/Unix, and scripting.
  • Experience with String/HWIL test equipment, RF hardware configuration, software installs, and radar system integration/testing.

Job description

What You Will Do

Support integration and test planning/execution, executing verification/validation events, execute regression testing, and perform scenario-based analysis to identify and resolve technical observations.

Support system performance assessments and validation testing to ensure compliance with requirements and specifications.

Execute integration plans and testing activities according to defined tasking milestones and schedules.

Integrate and test radar system software builds in a String/HWIL facility for supporting integration, verification, test, and data analysis activities.

Collaborate with cross-program leads/stakeholders to generate test approaches, ensure test-setup readiness, and participate in key processes (peer, gate, and test readines Confirm test and evaluation processes are conducted according to established procedures for software and hardware and ensure compliance with Department of Defense technology release and export licensing policies.

Willingness for 10% local and non-local travel including experience with domestic and foreign military sales products.

Qualifications

You Must Have Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.

Experience with MATLAB, Python, Perl, C/C++, Linux, Unix, and/or other programming Experience using String/HWIL test equipment, radio frequency (RF) electronic hardware configuration and installation, software installations, and integrating or regression testing radar systems

We Prefer

Understanding using MATLAB, Linux Operating Systems (Linux Red Hat), Unix, and Shell scripting for performing integration, verification, test, and data analysis, integrating and configuring electronics, installing/debugging software.

Knowledge with creating integration test procedures, test plans, test scripts, developing and maintaining configuration control documentation, and navigating through test setup.

Understanding with agile and DevSecOps processes, implement (or maintain) agile methodologies, participating in daily team standup meetings, sprint reviews, program Increment (PI) Planning meetings, retrospectives, and agile tooling such as JIRA and Confluence, and support execution of the team’s backlog including performance analysis and issue investigation.

Individual integration skills, knowledge of radar and signal processing concepts, modeling and determining radar performance, and team interaction skills.

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
