Job summary

RTX in Fullerton, CA is seeking a Systems Engineer with radar background to lead requirements, design and integration tasks. The role focuses on modeling, simulation, verification, and performance analysis for radar hardware/software, supporting flight tests and system sell-off.

The candidate should have experience in leadership, UNIX/Linux, and in applying object-oriented design with C++/C and MATLAB or Python for data evaluation. Onsite role with DoD clearance requirements.

Qualifications
  • Experience as a Systems Engineer including two or more of the following: requirements, design; specification development, modeling, simulation, or performance analysis; HW/ SW integration and test and verification
  • Experience in a technical leadership position
  • We Prefer Advanced Degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or related STEM degree
  • Experience with radar design, modeling/simulation, hardware/software integration, test and verification
  • Course work or experience in some of the following fields: radar, signal & image processing, radar and/or EO/IR environment models, digital communications, probability and statistics, linear algebra, estimation theory, optimal control, system architecture
  • Experience applying object-oriented software design in C++, C, and using MATLAB or Python for evaluation of data sets
  • Experience working on a team and by yourself, interfacing with multiple engineering disciplines and developing and presenting technical briefings
  • Ability to make data-driven decisions in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with time-critical requirements and competing priorities.
  • Strong technical writing, oral presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience using UNIX/Linux based workstations and using Software Configuration Management tools
  • EVMS experience
  • Experience with Agile principles and methodologies
  • Experience with Jira and Confluence
  • SAFe Product Owner certification or related industry certification
  • Experience developing proposals (i.e., developing TINA compliant Basis of Estimates)

The salary range for this role is 118,300 USD - 224,900 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
