Job summary

Raytheon is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to lead the design and integration of COTS hardware and networking for next generation radar solutions. You will work with product leads and cross-functional teams to deliver robust, safety-critical systems onsite in MA, with travel as needed.

The role requires a BS in Electrical Engineering and 8+ years of related experience, plus DoD clearance eligibility. Strong lab skills and a background in Unix/Linux are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience with Unix and Linux operating systems.
• Experience in computing, networking, and IT infrastructure design and documentation.
• Ability to develop a complete COTS-based hardware design from concept to test.

Responsibilities

• Design COTS hardware infrastructure systems (e.g., X86-based processors).
• Select servers, workstations, add-in cards, storage, and other COTS hardware.
• Engineer BIOS and OS configuration definitions.
• Work in a lab with oscilloscopes, bus analyzers, emulators, and data capture tools.
• Collaborate with hardware, supply chain, field engineering, and customers to deliver safety-critical systems.
• Occasional domestic and potential international travel.
