Job summary

RTX is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern to support the design, development, and integration of radar systems. The role focuses on mechanical design, hardware integration, and production support for land-based and shipboard radars.

The internship runs in summer 2026 with on-site operations and collaboration across the Radar Mechanical Design Department. You will train on CREO, PDM, and CAD workflows, assist with documentation, perform tolerance analyses, and work with engineers to meet

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering and enrolled through internship.
• Must have at least 60 credit hours by internship start date.
• Experience using CAD software such as SolidWorks, Creo, Fusion 360, or equivalent.
• Experience with mechanical hardware documentation or drawing standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist design tasks using RTX CAD tools and PDM.
• Support design documentation with engineering tools and MS Office.
• Apply engineering problem-solving skills to tasks.
• Collaborate with Radar Design Department to meet business objectives.
• Perform Mechanical Tolerance Analysis per GD&T practices.
