Job summary

RTX's Airborne Radar Electronics Design Department in El Segundo is seeking a highly motivated Electrical Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 to support VHDL-based firmware development and hardware integration for advanced airborne radar systems.

You will assist engineers with design, testing, and validation activities, work with lab equipment, and participate in team reviews and technical discussions, gaining hands-on experience in RF and microwave projects.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Electrical or related STEM and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session
• Must have a minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship / co-op session
• Experience using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, network analyzers, signal generators, and power supplies

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers with design, testing, and validation activities
• Support lab work, including measurements, test setups, and documentation
• Contribute to electrical engineering project tasks as assigned
• Participate in team meetings, reviews, and technical discussions
• Maintain accurate records and follow established engineering procedures
