Job summary

Raytheon in Plano, Texas, is seeking a Radar Systems Engineer to join the Advanced Development product line. You will develop radar algorithms and waveforms for distributed aperture radar programs, collaborating with software, hardware, and firmware teams onsite in Plano.

The role requires a STEM degree and 3–5+ years of radar experience, with an active DoD Secret clearance preferred. The team works on AMTI, GMTI, SAR, and other radar modes, with relocation assistance available.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in STEM and 5+ years of relevant experience or an advanced degree with 3+ years of radar-related experience.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
• Experience with radar signal processing techniques, mode algorithms, and digital simulation models (DSM).

Responsibilities

• Design radar and communication waveforms and perform signal processing analyses.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (Software, Hardware, Firmware) for project planning and execution.
• Develop mathematical algorithms for radar signal processing and evaluate performance.
• Prepare reports and briefings for stakeholders; manage tasks and interface across disciplines.
• Occasional travel up to ~20% to support programs.
