Raytheon seeks an Electrical System Engineer to oversee radar health and run radar missions aboard an ocean-going vessel. The role includes diagnostics, system tests, and support for software delivered into defense systems.

Requires a BS/BA in STEM with five years of relevant experience, UNIX and MATLAB/Simulink proficiency, and hands-on radar test equipment. A current Secret clearance, US passport, and willingness to long-term rotations are required.

Qualifications

Typically requires BS/BA in STEM with five years of relevant experience; equivalent substitutions allowed.
Proficiency with radar hardware, software, and test equipment.
Experience running engineering tests to troubleshoot radar system anomalies (SDPE, Antenna, etc.).
Hands-on UNIX (Sun Solaris, HP-UX) experience and Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
Experience with MATLAB and/or Simulink for data reduction and radar data analysis.

Responsabilités

Reduce and analyze data from DIGISIM/ANASIM and live operations; perform quick-look analysis for system tests.
Support installation, test, and evaluation of the SDPE software in the Ground-Based Midcourse Defense system.
Perform tasks to support the XBR Department Head; capable of 24/7 operations.
Develop tools to verify regression tests and document results according to procedures.
Maintain active Secret clearance and US passport; pass annual mariner physical.
