Job summary

RTX is seeking a Radar Systems Engineer to design and develop advanced radar and early-warning sensor systems. You will work onsite in El Segundo, CA, collaborating with experienced engineers to define architecture, develop requirements, and support full lifecycle activities from concept through flight testing. A DoD Secret clearance is preferred; U.S.

citizenship is required for clearance eligibility. You will model, analyze, and verify system performance using MATLAB, Python, and C++, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in STEM with 2+ years of Systems Engineering experience in radar algorithm design, requirements development, software/hardware integration, and data analysis.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to all phases of the systems engineering lifecycle including trade studies, CONOPS, architecture, requirements and traceability.
• Support development, analysis, documentation, and verification of system requirements using DOORS.
• Radar mode algorithm development and system performance assessments.
• Modeling, simulation, and data analysis using MATLAB, Python, and C++.
• Perform daily tasks in a classified and controlled lab environment.
• Participate in hardware/software integration, troubleshooting, and lab testing.
• Support verification, validation, flight test, production, and post-deployment activities.
• Perform trade studies, MBSE-based design, and prepare technical reports for stakeholders.
