Job summary

RTX is seeking a Radar Systems Engineer in El Segundo, CA, to join the Advanced Products & Solutions Mission Area within the Systems Engineering Center. You will contribute to radar and early‑warning sensor programs, applying MBSE and system-level analyses in a secure, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include lifecycle trades, requirements development, DOORS usage, and MATLAB/Python/C++ based analysis. U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Degree in STEM required with strong background in radar/defense systems.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant Systems Engineering experience with radar algorithms and requirements development.
• Experience with software/hardware integration and data analysis.
• Security clearance: ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to all phases of the systems engineering lifecycle, incl. CONOPS, requirements allocation, and verification.
• Support development and verification of system requirements using DOORS and modeling tools.
• Perform radar mode algorithm development, modeling, and performance assessments.
• Conduct MATLAB, Python, and C++ based data analysis and simulations.
• Support hardware/software integration, testing, and MBSE-based design.
