Job summary

Synectic Solutions, Inc. is seeking a RADAR Engineer (Journeyman) to support the MH-60R/S helicopter sensor systems at Patuxent River NAS in Lexington Park, MD. The role focuses on radar, acoustics, AMCM, and EO/IR systems, with on-site work and occasional travel.

The ideal candidate will hold a DoD Secret Clearance, be a U.S. citizen, and have 7+ years of relevant experience in radar and sensor integration within a DoD environment. Travel is limited to about two weeks per year.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret Clearance or higher required or ability to obtain
• U.S. Citizenship required
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field from an accredited college/university
• Minimum 7 years of recent relevant experience in a related role
• Demonstrated experience with RADAR systems is highly preferred
• Demonstrated experience with acoustic sensor systems is highly preferred
• Experience with FLIR and Electro-Optical/Infra-Red is preferred
• Experience in Airborne Mine Countermeasures (AMCM) is preferred
• Strong systems integration background in a DoD/Naval Air environment
• Experience preparing/reviewing engineering docs, specs, and risk assessments for acoustics or sensor systems

Responsibilities

• Provide RADAR engineering expertise for MH-60R/S helicopter sensor systems
• Diagnose and solve complex systems engineering issues related to acoustics and sensors
• Apply engineering principles to investigate, design, test, and evaluate military weapon systems
• Prepare engineering analyses, reports, change proposals and technical documents
• Support system integration, change proposals, flight clearances, configuration/risk management
• Analyze software and hardware components for engineering requirements
• Review and prepare technical documentation for SETR events and ECPs
• Assist with SOWs and CDRLs and Agile cross-functional collaboration
• Summarize data and findings for stakeholder presentations
• Communicate across program offices, contractors, and external agencies
