Job summary

Sabre Systems, LLC is seeking a RADAR Engineer (Journeyman) to support the H-60 Multi-Mission Helicopters PMA 299 at Patuxent River NAS, Lexington Park, MD. You will provide RADAR and sensor systems expertise for the MH-60R/S IPT, with secondary duties in acoustics, AMCM, and EO/IR systems.

The role involves evaluating performance, mission suitability, and acquisition risks throughout the lifecycle, reviewing engineering documentation, and coordinating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• BS or BA in a technical or scientific field from an accredited college or university.
• 7+ years of recent and relevant experience in a labor-category-related role.
• Demonstrated experience with RADAR systems is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience with acoustic sensor systems is highly preferred.
• Experience with FLIR and Electro-Optical/Infra-Red (EO/IR) is preferred.
• Experience in Airborne Mine Countermeasures (AMCM) is preferred.
• Strong DoD/Naval aviation systems integration background is required.
• Must be able to obtain an active DoD Secret Clearance and be a U.S. citizen.

Responsibilities

• Provide RADAR engineering expertise supporting the Mission Systems IPT for MH-60R/S helicopter sensor systems.
• Identify, diagnose and develop solutions for complex systems engineering issues focused on acoustics and sensors (e.g., AN/AQS-22 ALFS, DMAD, MTS, FLIR).
• Apply systems engineering to design, develop, test, or evaluate military weapons systems and associated support systems.
• Review and prepare engineering analyses, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation.
• Lead SETR events and prepare technical documentation; facilitate SOWs and CDRLs as needed.
