Job summary

Sabre Systems, LLC is seeking a RADAR Engineer (Journeyman) to support the MH-60R/S helicopter sensor systems at the Patuxent River Naval Air Station, Lexington Park, MD. The engineer will work on-site with the Mission Systems IPT, providing radar expertise and supporting acoustics, AMCM, and EO/IR systems.

Travel is limited to about two weeks per year; active DoD clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.

Qualifications

• Technical or Scientific BS/BA degree from an accredited college or university.
• At least seven (7) years of recent and relevant experience in a related labor category.
• Demonstrated experience with RADAR systems is required or highly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience with acoustic sensor systems is highly preferred.
• Experience with FLIR and Electro-Optical/Infra-Red (EO/IR) is preferred.
• Experience in Airborne Mine-Countermeasures (AMCM) is preferred.
• Strong background in systems integration of mission systems within a DoD or Naval Aviation environment.
• Must have or be able to obtain an active DoD Secret Clearance or higher; U.S. Citizen.

Responsibilities

• Provide RADAR engineering expertise supporting the Mission Systems IPT for MH-60R/S helicopter sensor systems.
• Identify, diagnose and develop solutions for acoustics and sensors including AN/AQS-22, DMAD, MTS, and FLIR.
• Apply systems engineering to investigate, design, test, or evaluate military weapon systems.
• Review and prepare engineering analyses, reports, and change proposals (ECPs).
• Lead SETR events and develop SOWs and CDRLs; manage technical documents and risk assessments.
• Analyze and document requirements and support cross-functional team collaboration.
