Job summary

RTX in Woburn, MA is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer to serve as Product Owner for an Agile radar-simulation tool suite within the Long Range Radars Department. This onsite role emphasizes driving product direction, backlog ownership, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver high-fidelity simulations.

The ideal candidate has a STEM degree with 8+ years in systems/software engineering, strong Agile experience, and proficiency in Python, C++, and MATLAB.

Qualifications

• Requires STEM degree and 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in Systems Engineering and/or Software Engineering.
• Experience in an Agile environment or on Agile projects.

Responsibilities

• Drive product direction and execution for a radar simulation tool suite with Agile ceremonies.
• Own and manage the team backlog with clearly defined features and acceptance criteria.
• Lead refinement sessions and translate epics into estimable user stories with sprint goals.
• Oversee cost, schedule, and performance for the AN/TPY-2 program scope.
• Develop and execute verification and validation test plans for radar capabilities.
• Review radar designs and implement updates in the simulation environment.
• Develop software tools that emulate radar system behavior and analyze performance data using MATLAB.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance digital simulations and support multi-mission scenarios.
