Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Principal Electronics Engineer (or Senior Principal) based in Baltimore, MD, with 25–50% travel to customer locations. You will support radar hardware/software integration, testing, and sustainment across the product lifecycle, engaging with engineering teams and customers to resolve issues and ensure mission readiness.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related STEM with 5 years’ experience; or Master’s with 3 years’ experience.
  • Strong understanding of hardware/software integration and test.
  • Knowledge of RF engineering, radar functionality, and radar hardware.
  • Experience with standard lab equipment to diagnose issues and validate behavior.
  • Willingness to travel domestically for business trips (25–50%).
  • US Citizenship and current/active U.S. Government Secret Clearance or ability to obtain SAP clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Support radar hardware/software integration, test, verification, and sustainment.
  • Troubleshoot complex electronics in lab and field environments.
  • Lead or support integration, test, data analysis, and instrumentation activities.
  • Contribute to RCCA investigations and corrective actions.
  • Design, develop, and test radar assemblies, subsystems, and test equipment components.
  • Interface with internal teams, leadership, and customers to communicate status and risk.
