Job summary

MercyOne Waukee Urgent Care Clinic is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to join our team in Iowa. The RT will perform radiology tests under physician supervision and manage EMR workflows in a fast-paced clinic.

We require an Iowa radiology permit, AMA-approved training with AART certification, and BLS. Clinic experience is preferred; 40-hour weeks with rotating 12-hour shifts, every other weekend, support patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Must have Iowa radiology permit.
• Requires AMA approved two-year radiologic technology training with AART certification.
• BLS certification required or obtained within 3 months of hire.
• Clinic/physician office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate ability to recognize and assess urgent/emergency needs and initiate appropriate procedures.
• Follow EMR procedures for test results, filing, and charging.
• Apply radiology skills under clinic provider direction in a care setting.
• Perform routine radiology tests and diagnostic procedures for patients of all ages.

MercyOne Waukee Urgent Care Clinic Opening in August

We are hiring a Rad Tech! As a Rad Tech, you will:

• Demonstrate the ability to recognize and assess urgent/emergency needs of patients and initiating appropriate emergency procedures as needed


• Follow clinic procedure/protocol for the organization and management of the electronic medical record (i.e. test results, retrieval, filing, creation, repair, charging of electronic medical record)


• Apply specialized radiology skills under the direction of a clinic provider in the care and treatment of patients in a clinic setting


• Perform a variety of routine and skilled radiology tests, diagnostic tests, or procedures to patients of all ages.

Hours

• 40 hours a week


• Shifts will typically be 12 hours, along with every other weekend from 8a-4p

Requirements

• Must maintain State of Iowa permit to practice Radiology.


• Knowledge of Radiolgraphic theory and techniques, clinic policies and procedures and principles of anatomy.


• Work requires extensive technical or specialized training such as would be acquired in a college or technical school (i.e. completion of AMA approved two year training program in radiologic technology and AART certified).


• Clinic/Physician office experience preferred.


• Basic Life Support (BLS) for the Healthcare Provider certified or obtained within three (3) months of hire.


• Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training specific to population serve within three (3) months of h
