Job summary

MercyOne seeks a Radiology Tech to perform diagnostic imaging exams, CTs, and mammography while supporting department operations and patient care. You will provide age-appropriate care across teens to seniors and participate in a 36-hour weekly schedule, Monday through Friday with night and weekend on-call rotation.

• Graduation from an AMA Radiologic Technology program.
• Iowa permit to practice radiologic technology.
• Maintains ARRT certification for radiologic procedures.
• ARRT credentials preferred include Mammography and CT.
• Willing to obtain required credentials within specified timeframes.
• Keeps current with continuing education for national certifications.
• Provides BLS Healthcare Provider card prior to employment or within 60 days.

As a Radiology Tech at MercyOne, you will:

• Be responsible for performing general diagnostic imaging exams, CT's, as well as mammography and other designated procedures
• Contribute to the efficient operation of the department, ensuring the quality and continuity of patient care
• Provide care appropriate to the age and development of patients of most ages – teenagers through geriatric

Schedule

• 36 hours a week
• Monday - Friday
• Night and weekend call rotation (every 4th weekend)

Requirements

• Graduation of an AMA Radiologic Technology program
• Iowa permit to practice
• Maintains certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
• ARRT Credentials preferred include: Mammography, BDSM certification and CT certification
• Willing to obtain credentials within a designated time frame as determined by department need
• Remains current with Continuing Education requirements for designated national certifications
• Must provide proof of Basic Life Support (BLS Healthcare Provider, American Heart Association; or American Red Cross, Professional Rescuer-LIVE class only) via current card prior to employment or within 60 days of hire and maintains current status
• Completes Mandatory Reporting: Child and Dependent Adult Abuse requirement within 6 months of hire and renews this requirement every 3 years
