Job summary

MercyOne in Des Moines, IA is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to join our clinic team. You will perform routine and specialized radiology and diagnostic procedures, support EMR workflows, and assist with patient care under physician guidance.

The role requires an Iowa radiology permit, knowledge of radiographic theory, anatomy, and clinic policies. AMA-approved training and AART certification are expected, with BLS required within three months of hire.

Qualifications

• Must maintain State of Iowa permit to practice Radiology.
• Knowledge of radiographic theory and techniques, clinic policies and procedures and principles of anatomy.
• Completion of AMA approved two-year radiologic technology program and AART certification.
• Clinic/Physician office experience preferred.
• BLS for Healthcare Provider cert or obtain within three months of hire.
• Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training within three months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate the ability to recognize and assess urgent/emergency needs of patients and initiate appropriate emergency procedures as needed.
• Follow clinic procedures for the organization and management of electronic medical records (EMR) including test results retrieval, filing, creation and charging.
• Apply radiology skills under the direction of a clinic provider in patient care within a clinic setting.
• Perform routine and skilled radiology and diagnostic tests for patients of all ages.

Employment Type: Full time Shift: Day Shift Description: We are hiring a Rad Tech! As a Rad Tech, you will:

• Demonstrate the ability to recognize and assess urgent/emergency needs of patients and initiating appropriate emergency procedures as needed




• Follow clinic procedure/protocol for the organization and management of the electronic medical record (i.e. test results, retrieval, filing, creation, repair, charging of electronic medical record)




• Apply specialized radiology skills under the direction of a clinic provider in the care and treatment of patients in a clinic setting




• Perform a variety of routine and skilled radiology tests, diagnostic tests, or procedures to patients of all ages.

Hours:

• 40 hours a week




• Monday - Friday




• 7:30 am - 4:00 pm or 8:00 am - 4:30pm

Requirements:

• Must maintain State of Iowa permit to practice Radiology.




• Knowledge of Radiolgraphic theory and techniques, clinic policies and procedures and principles of anatomy.




• Work requires extensive technical or specialized training such as would be acquired in a college or technical school (i.e. completion of AMA approved two year training program in radiologic technology and AART certified).




• Clinic/Physician office experience preferred.




• Basic Life Support (BLS) for the Healthcare Provider certified or obtained within three (3) months of hire.




• Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training specific to population serve within three (3) months of hire
