Job summary

Celestica Inc. is seeking a Test Engineering Technician (2nd Shift) to support testing of L11 rack systems and server enclosures in a fast-paced environment. You will setup tests, run validation procedures, and analyze rack layouts and wiring diagrams under the guidance of engineers.

The role requires Python scripting, Linux command-line familiarity, and strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot hardware and network issues. Experience with rack testing equipment is a plus.

Qualifications

• Two to Four years relevant experience.
• Two or three year community college diploma in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Educational requirements may vary by geography.

Responsibilities

• Provides complex technical support for testing integrated L11 rack systems and fully populated server enclosures.
• Sets up and executes tests, diagnostic software, and validation procedures on complete server and network racks.
• Reads and analyzes rack elevation drawings, cable routing maps, and network topologies.
• Assists in the design, setup, and debugging of network test cables and rack-level testing equipment.
• Executes and modifies basic Python scripts to automate rack validation, parse log files, and streamline data collection.
• Deploys firmware updates and updates test bed software across rack components.
