Job summary

Walmart is hiring a Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician to support and oversee repair of refrigeration and HVAC systems in Walmart facilities. The role requires 2+ years of HVAC maintenance experience, EPA refrigerant handling certification, and a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities include maintaining equipment, processing work orders, handling emergencies, and ensuring OSHA/EPA compliance.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in commercial Refrigeration HVAC maintenance
• Large Scale Rack Refrigeration Experience
• Type I/Type II or Universal EPA Certification for refrigerant handling
• Hold a valid state-issued driver’s license with clean driving record and ability to pass MVR
• 18 years or older with a High School Diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Walmart facility’s Refrigeration HVAC equipment using hand tools, digital tools, power tools and other equipment.
• Utilize the work order management system to receive repair work orders and document activities.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations in line with Walmart safety policies.
• Lift up to 75 pounds and work at heights as needed.
