Job summary

Walmart is seeking a Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician to support and oversee repairs to refrigeration and HVAC systems across our facilities. The role requires handling tools and following safety guidelines while ensuring minimal downtime for equipment.

Responsibilities include diagnosing issues, documenting activities, and responding quickly to emergency calls. A valid driver’s license and EPA refrigerant handling certification are required, with 2+ years in the field preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of commercial Refrigeration HVAC maintenance experience.
• EPA Type I/II or Universal refrigerant handling certification.
• Valid state driver’s license with clean MVR.
• Must be 18+ with HS diploma or equivalent.
• Option 1: HVAC/R tech cert + 2 years in mechanical maintenance for commercial HVAC/R/building controls.
• Option 2: 4 years in mechanical maintenance for similar fields.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Walmart refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets.
• Use work orders to document repair activities and support stores.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, test, and diagnose issues with facilities equipment.
• Complete required safety and operations training.
• Comply with OSHA/EPA regulations per Walmart policies.
