Job summary

United Tote, backed by Churchill Downs, is seeking a Technician Operator for Turfway Park to handle tote system data entry, verification, and related support tasks. You will prepare reports, assist in equipment handling, and help train new staff at our racetrack and corporate office.

The role involves maintaining and repairing tote boards and terminals, stocking spare parts, and performing installation and teardown of equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Line technician experience and electrical/computer knowledge preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Enter and verify tote system data and generate reports.
• Prepare and maintain equipment and parts; label, package, and ship as needed.
• Train new employees and technicians.
• Install, set up, and troubleshoot tote boards and related equipment.
• Assist in loading/unloading equipment and stock ticket paper.
• Perform minor repairs and order replacement components.
• Develop wiring and soldering skills.
• Operate racetrack communications equipment.
