Job summary

United Tote, backed by Churchill Downs, is seeking an entry level Central Operations role focused on system monitoring, troubleshooting, and delivering a positive customer experience through email and phone support. This position may be located in Louisville, KY or Portland, OR.

You will monitor logs, assist with configuration tasks, and collaborate with teammates on projects and testing of new software versions. A diploma or degree is required, and some travel may be involved.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain racing licenses as required by state law and pass a background check.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Outlook, Excel and Word.
• Problem solver with strong troubleshooting skills and calm under pressure.
• Independent self-starter with ability to work professionally and collaboratively.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
• Must be punctual and have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Create a positive customer experience by handling calls and assisting in troubleshooting.
• Back-up race track operator to ensure system integrity.
• Monitor error logs, system alerts, and reports per guidelines.
• Enter data into scheduling system and verify entries for accuracy.
• Complete daily tasks on the checklist and participate in projects.
• Perform User Acceptance Testing for new software versions.
• Handle system configuration requests and monitor race processing errors.
• Escalate issues to appropriate parties when necessary.
