Job summary

Hollywood Gaming Mahoning Valley Race Course is seeking a dedicated Equipment Attendant to support jockeys and trainers. The role involves inspecting and maintaining racing gear, helping with saddling, and ensuring correct weight distribution for each race.

Candidates should be able to work outdoors in varying weather and present a professional appearance. Qualifications include a High School diploma, knowledge of Rules of Racing, and the ability to perform additional duties as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of the Rules of Racing required.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions.
• Professional appearance standards as per company policy.
• Other duties as needed.

Responsibilities

• Check, clean and maintain jockey equipment and clothing.
• Assist jockeys with riding gear and saddling.
• Assist trainers with saddling horses for each race.
• Assist jockeys with unsaddling and returning equipment to the room.
• Prepare saddles and pads to ensure proper weight for each race.
• May be asked to perform additional duties as needed.
