Qualifications

• Meet professional appearance standards as prescribed by policy.
• Other duties as needed.

Responsibilities

• Remove worn or defective shoe from hoof.
• Repair shoes in paddock.
• Examine hoof to detect bruises and trimming needs.
• Verify shoes during paddock time for compliance with rules.
• Nail shoe to hoof and file flush with shoe.
• Selects aluminum or steel shoe from stock per hoof measurements.
• This job includes other related duties as assigned.
