Job summary

Life Enriching Communities is hiring a Resident Aide for the Day Shift at our Wesley Glen location in Columbus, OH. This full-time role supports residents in Memory Care or Skilled Nursing, delivering compassionate daily care.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, prior care setting experience, and strong customer service skills. Background and drug screenings are required. Join a team that values respect, excellence, and teamwork to enhance residents’ quality of life.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in a continuing care retirement community or hospital setting preferred.
• Strong background in customer service and interpersonal communication.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, mobility).
• Answer resident call lights promptly and courteously.
• Promote resident dignity, individuality, and rights while encouraging independence.
• Participate in shift reports and maintain up-to-date resident records.
• Support meal service by managing menu tickets and helping serve meals.
• Launder residents' personal items.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges as directed.
• Follow infection control and safety procedures diligently.
• Collaborate with nursing staff to maintain a calm, respectful, and team-oriented environment.

Requirements
