Job summary

FUNDACIO INSTITU DE RECERCA EN ENERGIA DE CATALUNYA is seeking an energy research candidate to join the Energy Systems Analytics group. You will help set up AI-driven data structures for energy modelling focused on energy communities, and collect diverse data from public datasets and literature.

The role requires over 2 years of experience in energy modelling, strong Python/ML/SQL skills, and proficiency in Spanish, Catalan and English.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in optimisation modelling for multi-energy carriers in buildings and other assets (EV, renewable energy, storage).
• Excellent knowledge of Python, ML, SQL.
• Spoken and written capabilities in Spanish, Catalan and English.

Responsibilities

• Support the set up and initial development of AI driven data structures for energy modelling focused on energy communities.
• Set up processes for collecting technical, economic, social, environmental, and regulatory data from public statistics and literature.
• Assist dissemination activities related to projects (papers, conferences).
• Prepare Curriculum Vitae and a motivation letter highlighting completed degree and relevant experience.

Description: The Energy Systems Analytics research department is looking for an energy research eager candidate to join the group. The candidate will be asked to perform the following tasks:

• Tosupport the set up and initial development of AI driven data structure for energy modelling focused on energy communities
• To set up the process for the collection of technical, economic, social, environmental, and regulatory data from public statistics, open datasets, and literature related to energy communities' energy consumption and demand.
• To give support to the dissemination activities related to the projects where he/she will be involved (scientific papers writing, conference participation,..)
