Job summary

LifeGift is seeking an In-House Donation System Specialist - Night Shift to work on-site with our hospital partners in the Houston area. You will engage with clinicians to facilitate organ/tissue donation and drive process improvements while coordinating with the Administrator-on-Call to assess referrals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or combined total of 5 years of education and healthcare-related experience.
• Experience interpreting and synthesizing clinical information from medical charts is preferred.
• Public speaking, sales/marketing, data analysis, or strategic planning experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Engage with physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff to facilitate organ/tissue donation and drive process improvements.
• Provide timely on-site responses to organ referrals in assigned hospitals.
• Collaborate with LifeGift’s Administrator-on-Call to determine suitability of referrals and plan next steps following initial evaluation of potential organ donors.
• Plan, implement and administer training and education on all aspects of the donation program for applicable hospital staff.
• Determine the appropriate approach for the potential donor’s next of kin to offer organ and tissue donation.

DoyouhavetheeducationandexperiencetobeanIn-HouseDonationSystemSpecialist?

• Bachelor’sdegree(B.A.)fromafour-yearcollegeoruniversity,oracombinedtotalof5yearseducationandexperienceinhealthcare,marketing,orrelatedfield.
• AminimumoftwoyearsofOPOorhealthcareexperiencepreferred.Mustbeabletointerpretandsynthesizeclinicalinformationfrommedicalcharts.
• Experienceinpublicspeaking,sales/marketing,dataanalysis,and/orstrategicplanningpreferred.
• WorkingknowledgeofcomputersandMicrosoftOfficeapplications.
