In-House Donation System Specialist - Night Shift
LifeGift is currently looking for an In-House Donation System Specialist – a professional who builds relationships, fosters positive communication, and develops strategic plans to achieve donor potential hospital goals.
Responsibilities
- Solution‑based approach when engaging with physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff to facilitate organ/tissue donation and foster process improvement initiatives.
- Provide timely onsite responses to organ referrals in the assigned hospital.
- Collaborate with LifeGift’s Administrator‑on‑Call (AOC) to determine suitability of organ referrals and next steps after initial evaluation of potential organ donors.
- Plan, implement, and administer training and education on all aspects of the donation program for applicable hospital staff, aiming to improve metrics.
- Determine the appropriate approach strategy for the potential donor’s next‑of‑kin to ensure a compassionate, sensitive, and effective approach when offering organ and tissue donation options.
- Travel frequently between hospitals within the designated region; flexibility for non‑traditional hours and reliable transportation required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four‑year college or university, or a combined total of five years of education and experience in healthcare, marketing, or a related field.
- A minimum of two years of OPO or healthcare experience preferred; able to interpret and synthesize clinical information from medical charts.
- Experience in public speaking, sales/marketing, data analysis, and/or strategic planning preferred.
- Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office applications.
Condition of Employment
- Must be able to attain hospital badge and EMR access from all LifeGift hospital partners.
- Night‑shift role working on‑site at one of LifeGift’s hospital partners.
