Job summary

Hadrian in Los Angeles is building a hands‑on R&D welding engineering role that blends design and shop-floor work. You’ll help develop tooling, fixtures, and process improvements, collaborating closely with welding engineers and welders to bring parts from concept to test.

This is not a desk job; you’ll be on the shop floor and in development labs. The ideal candidate has a mechanical engineering degree, 2+ years in manufacturing or design, and hands-on CAD experience with GD&T and metrology.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years in manufacturing or mechanical design.
• Proficiency with CAD tools and GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Support welding equipment needs with CAD for new equipment.
• Develop automation concepts for tooling and fixtures.
• Weld actual parts in a development setting.
• Bridge automation, tooling, and welding to create repeatable processes.
• Coordinate with Build, Software, Tooling, Automation, and NDT to keep development flowing.
