Job summary

The hybrid work model in Bloomfield supports collaboration with design, manufacturing and external labs to deliver reliable product test programs and timely certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering and relevant testing experience.
• Experience developing, documenting and analyzing data sets for product tests.
• Ability to plan, execute and document test programs and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with design teams to develop test programs evaluating new products and legacy baselines.
• Schedule sample builds with manufacturing, prototyping teams and vendors; assemble samples.
• Act as liaison to 3rd-party certifiers and co-develop test plans for UL/ISO/IEC standards.
• Develop/test plans to meet ABB requirements, reliability and industry standards.
• Coordinate testing with internal and external labs and document results.
• Lead root-cause analysis and feedback on product designs with the team.
• Work with certifiers to ensure compliance with UL, ANSI, CSA, IEC and ISO.
• Identify cost-out opportunities and drive cross-functional project work.
