Job summary

Castelion in the United States is seeking an R&D Technician to support hands-on SRM manufacturing and testing for hypersonic programs. You will work with engineers and operations to execute procedures, operate equipment, collect data, and maintain safety and quality in a fast-paced environment.

Required are a high school diploma, 3+ years in aerospace/defense environments, ability to follow instructions, and comfort with lifting up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on manufacturing, assembly, or testing experience in aerospace/defense.
• Experience with energetic materials or high-hazard processes is highly desirable.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and follow procedures accurately.

Responsibilities

• Execute propellant manufacturing and SRM assembly tasks per work instructions.
• Support test setup and instrumentation installation for static fire and development tests.
• Operate and maintain manufacturing and test equipment safely.
• Collect and document data; assist with post-test handling and data packaging.
• Follow energetic materials handling and safety protocols; support 5S and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with engineers and operations to meet schedule and quality goals.
• Assist with equipment qualification, process trials, and troubleshooting.
