Job summary

Andersen is seeking a Tax Senior Associate to work on R&D Tax Credit and Sec. 174 engagements across diverse clients. The role demands strong technical knowledge and project management skills to lead interviews, calculations, and deliverables.

The position offers opportunities for guidance, mentorship, and ongoing training, with a focus on growth into leadership within the R&D Tax Practice in Los Angeles.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience managing R&D Tax Credit and Sec. 174 analyses.
• Bachelor’s and/or relevant advanced degree (MAcc, MST, JD); Accounting, Engineering, or related degree (Preferred).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong working knowledge of Excel.
• Advanced credential allowing for IRS client representation (CPA, JD) preferred.
• Working knowledge of accounting methods, including UNICAP is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Participate in day-to-day responsibilities on R&D Tax Credit and Sec. 174 engagements, including leading technical interviews with subject matter experts, preparing calculations, and deliverables.
• Provide technical guidance and training to team members.
• Prepare proposals for prospective and current clients.
• Communicate with clients, manage multiple project deadlines, and stay updated on legislative changes.
• Receive formal training and opportunities for additional training.
