Job summary

Accenture is seeking a Senior Manager or Principal Director to lead end-to-end R&D strategy engagements within the Life Sciences space. This role focuses on AI-enabled transformation of discovery, development, and delivery, with responsibility for client relationships, practice growth, and thought leadership.

You will guide cross-functional teams, drive proposals, and partner with Accenture’s broader capabilities to deliver measurable client impact across the R&D value chain.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in Life Sciences R&D strategy or transformation.
• Experience leading strategy engagements with biopharma clients.
• Strong understanding of AI, data, digital tech in R&D.
• Proven track record in business development and senior relationships.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex R&D strategy engagements from problem framing through delivery, ensuring measurable client impact.
• Advise clients on R&D transformation priorities including strategy, portfolio management, data and AI integration.
• Develop and present strategic recommendations and roadmaps to Heads of R&D functions and senior stakeholders.
• Shape program lifecycle and ensure delivery excellence on large-scale engagements.
• Build, manage, and grow senior client relationships across biopharma R&D functions.
• Originate and shape new opportunities, lead proposals and contribute to pipeline growth in Life Sciences R&D.
