Accenture is seeking a Senior Manager or Principal Director to lead R&D strategy engagements for biopharma clients in California. You will drive AI-enabled transformation, oversee strategic roadmaps, and build senior client relationships across R&D functions.

You will shape proposals, lead cross‑functional teams, and contribute to practice growth while traveling as needed across domestic and international client sites.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of combined experience in Life Sciences R&D strategy or transformation.
• Track record leading strategy engagements with measurable outcomes for biopharma clients.
• Experience presenting strategic recommendations and roadmaps to C-suite and senior stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of how AI, data, digital tech, and informatics reshape biopharma R&D.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex R&D strategy engagements from framing through delivery with measurable client impact.
• Advise on transformation priorities including strategy, pipeline management, AI integration, and operating models.
• Develop and present strategic recommendations, roadmaps, and reinvention narratives to senior leadership.
• Manage and grow senior client relationships across biopharma R&D functions.
• Originate opportunities, shape proposals, and contribute to pipeline growth.
• Partner with global Accenture teams to support R&D engagements and go-to-market strategies.
• Mentor junior colleagues and contribute to recruiting and performance management.
