Job summary

Accenture is seeking a Senior Manager or Principal Director to lead R&D strategy engagements for AI-enabled transformation in biopharma. You will advise clients, build relationships, drive business development, and contribute to practice growth across Accenture’s R&D initiatives.

You will partner across Accenture teams to deliver end-to-end R&D strategy programs, shaping roadmaps and capability-building for industry leaders. This role requires travel and high-impact leadership.

Qualifications

• Deep Life Sciences R&D experience in biopharma.
• Proven track record leading strategy engagements.
• Experience presenting to C-suite and senior stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of AI, data, and digital tech in biopharma.
• Business development experience and client relationships.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
• Bachelor's degree.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex R&D strategy engagements from framing to delivery.
• Advise on transformation priorities including strategy and portfolio management.
• Develop strategic recommendations and roadmaps for Heads of R&D.
• Ensure quality and delivery excellence on large-scale engagements.
• Grow senior client relationships across biopharma R&D.
• Collaborate with Data & AI, Technology Strategy, Talent & Organization to tailor engagements.
• Originate opportunities, lead proposals, and grow pipeline.
• Identify adjacent opportunities across the R&D value chain.
• Represent Accenture's R&D Strategy viewpoints in client briefings.
• Develop thought leadership on AI-driven discovery and development.
• Build reusable offerings and assets for future engagements.
• Mentor junior colleagues and contribute to performance management.
• Partner with global leads to evolve the R&D strategy practice.
