Vertex is seeking a 6-month R&D and DTE Sourcing Co-op in the United States. You will support strategic sourcing activities across biology, chemistry, biospecimens, and regulatory affairs, with responsibilities including spend analysis, dashboard development, and RFX support.

The role emphasizes collaboration, analytics, and business impact. Applicants should have completed at least two years of undergraduate coursework in a relevant field and be eligible to work in the US.

Qualifications

• Must have completed at least two years of undergraduate coursework in sourcing, procurement, supply chain, or related business/science field.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI) and able to create spend reports and dashboards.
• Familiar with AI tools and how they can be leveraged in a business environment.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to interact with multiple stakeholders.
• Demonstrated analytical skills and interest in market research and sourcing analysis.

Responsibilities

• Administrative support for the strategic sourcing department including RFX processes and bid defense meetings.
• Contracting database management.
• Developing spend reports and dashboards (Excel & Power BI).
• Process mapping and supporting Supplier Relationship Management programs.
• Participating in or leading RFX activities and other sourcing projects.
