Vertex Pharmaceuticals is offering a 6-month co-op in R&D and DTE Sourcing for students pursuing undergrad or master's degrees in sourcing, procurement, supply chain, business operations, or related scientific fields. The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, data analytics, and process improvement.

You will support spend categories like biology and chemistry services, preclinical sciences, and regulatory affairs, with duties spanning reporting, RFX support, and project coordination.

Qualifications

• Must have completed at least two years of undergraduate coursework with a focus in sourcing, procurement, supply chain or related field.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States; Vertex does not sponsor internships/co-ops.
• Must be enrolled in an advanced degree program if graduating before June 2027.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support for the strategic sourcing department, including RFX processes and bid defense meetings.
• Maintain contracting database and develop spend reports/dashboards (Excel & Power BI).
• Map processes, support Supplier Relationship Management, and assist in spend analysis and negotiations.
