Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque, NM seeks a highly skilled engineer with a strong background in control theory, estimation, sensor fusion and vehicle navigation to develop real-time NPC systems for national security.

You will work on designing and evaluating navigation and estimation algorithms, integrating new sensor models, and validating performance in simulation and on hardware, with opportunities for collaboration across internal and external teams and relocation provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with ability to conduct independent R&D.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop navigation and estimation algorithms from first principles to improve real-time tools.
• Assess inertial navigation performance using flight-test data from multiple platforms.
• Integrate new sensor models and upgrades into flight and analysis software.
• Document algorithms and results in white papers and technical briefs.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams; onsite work with relocation if qualified.
