Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories is seeking an Early Career Navigation Systems Electrical Engineer to contribute to estimation, software engineering, and applied R&D for national security missions. You will work onsite in Albuquerque, developing, testing, and analyzing prototype navigation systems with GNSS, inertial sensors, and alternative PNT solutions.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree (with a preference for advanced electrical engineering knowledge), and the ability to obtain a DOE Q-level

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent with ability to perform independent R&D.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q-level security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, integrate, test, and analyze navigation prototype systems (GNSS, inertial sensors, alternative PNT).
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to mature concepts from model to hardware tests.
  • Transition navigation technologies from modeling to hardware for flight testing.
  • Conduct testing in contested navigation environments and analyze results.
