Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories is seeking an Early Career Navigation Warfare Electrical Engineer to join our team in Albuquerque, NM. You will work on estimation, software, GNSS, and prototype navigation systems for national security missions.

Role emphasizes R&D in software and hardware, with opportunities to test in simulations, labs, and in the field, including onsite work at the Flight Dynamics Laboratory. A DOE clearance is required or pursued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field with ability to perform independent R&D.
• DOE Q-level security clearance or ability to obtain one.
• Graduate degree in EE/CE with a research project is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop, integrate, test, and analyze navigation prototype systems with GNSS/Inertial sensors.
• Create algorithms and perform testing for navigation warfare applications.
• Collaborate with researchers and engineers to mature concepts to flight tests.
• Transition technologies from modeling to hardware prototypes for flight tests.
• Conduct field and lab testing in distributed team environments.
