Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque, New Mexico, seeks an Early/Mid‑Career Autonomous Aerospace Systems Engineer to advance autonomous flight technologies for national security.

You will collaborate with researchers to mature concepts from simulation to flight, develop subsystems and algorithms, and support flight tests and mission analysis, with occasional travel and security clearance requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering/science field.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q-level security clearance.
• Experience in navigation, control, or flight dynamics topics.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate to develop autonomous flight system technologies from concept to flight.
• Support navigation warfare research projects with sensing, planning, testing.
• Develop simulation tools and analysis for mission scenarios.
• Lead new projects applying trusted PNT to high-consequence missions.
