Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque, NM seeks a Navigation Warfare Engineer with experience in estimation, software engineering, and navigation hardware. You will work on prototype navigation systems, collaborate across teams, and help transition concepts to flight-ready solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q-level security clearance.
  • Experience with navigation sensors, algorithms, and related hardware is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, integrate, test, and analyze results from hardware prototype navigation systems, including GNSS and IMUs.
  • Develop novel positioning sensors and navigation solutions for contested environments.
  • Collaborate with researchers to mature navigation technologies from concept to flight tests.
  • Transition technologies from Modeling and Simulation to hardware prototype for flight test.
  • Perform testing in complex contested navigation warfare environments and analyze results.
