Job summary

General Mills is seeking an R&D Scientist II to bring products to life in the Epic Meat Snacks space, from concept to store shelf. You will drive innovation, renovation, and cost savings across the Epic brand while partnering externally to drive feasibility and project execution, developing a strong technical understanding in meat snacks to bring initiatives to market.

The role requires a strong technical background in food science or related fields, 2+ years in product development, and

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's in Food Science, Meat Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
2+ years of product development experience or relevant food manufacturing experience.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and commercialize products meeting consumer, business, and manufacturing constraints.
Develop and commercialize products complying with quality and regulatory standards.
Develop and execute a robust technical plan to manage risk.
Manage projects to meet critical milestones and deliverables.
Collaborate cross-functionally to move projects from idea to commercialization.
Engage with external manufacturing partners and drive feasibility through prototyping.
