Formlabs, a leading 3D printing company in Boston, seeks an R&D Reliability/Test Engineer to design validation plans, analyze hardware failures, and build automated test equipment for reliability and robustness.

You will work closely with R&D design teams to conduct risk assessments, manage ongoing testing, and contribute to design reviews, while analyzing field data to guide improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience with complex electromechanical systems and reliability.
• Ability to derive actionable insights from test data and field data.
• Proven skills in designing system test plans and executing them efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Develop, execute, and manage validation test plans for system, subsystem, and component levels.
• Perform root cause analysis on hardware failures using problem-solving methods.
• Design and build automated testing equipment for reliability testing.
• Collaborate with R&D to assess risk and participate in design reviews.
• Analyze field failure data to identify trends and drive corrective actions.
