Formlabs in Somerville, MA is seeking a Senior 3D Printing R&D Engineer to push the boundaries of additive manufacturing. You will develop new printer architectures, validate Galvo control changes, and tackle open-ended problems across disciplines.

You'll lead projects, design experiments, analyze data, and collaborate with software and hardware teams to improve products. A strong background in engineering and hands-on testing is essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years post-graduate experience.
• Question assumptions and back with data.
• Autonomously researches, reports results and makes recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Create new 3D printing techniques from printer architectures to validating minute Galvo changes.
• Lead projects and investigate new technologies.
• Tackle complex problems across multiple engineering disciplines.
• Perform experiments and use results to inform improvements in software or hardware.
